My husband, Ran, and I said “I do” on June 26, 2021, at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, South Carolina. The first four years of our relationship were long distance - I went to college at The University of South Carolina, and he went to Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. We were engaged in February 2020, just weeks before COVID escalated. We then immediately started planning our proper southern wedding. Lowndes Grove was perfect since Charleston has always been our go-to spot. I was born in Mount Pleasant and Ran vacationed at Isle of Palms during the summers. Our wedding day was more than anything I could have ever imagined: the weather was perfect, our vendors were outstanding, and we had the absolute best family and friends by our side. Most importantly, I married the love of my life in a dress I loved. I spent months looking for the right bridal gown. As I waited for the spring 2021 dresses to come out, I kept saying, “I want a classy but fun dress.” We visited several boutiques in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia before my appointment with Anne Barge Atelier in Atlanta. My appointment was the end of a very long and disappointing day of dress shopping. My mom had said all along that she thought my dream dress would be an Anne Barge gown. I, of course, had to look at everything to make sure I found “the one.” As soon as I stepped into Anne Barge Bridal Atelier, I instantly darted for the “Confetti” dress. It was absolutely everything I could ever want. A timeless dress with a unique 3-D appliqué set it apart from all of the others. I knew I hit the jackpot when they brought out the matching veil. I had always dreamed of having a blusher for my Dad to take off at the end of the aisle. The moral of the story is to listen to your mom and go to Anne Barge Bridal Atelier. You absolutely will not regret it.
